St. Nathy’s appeal for financial support for All-Ireland quarter-final trip

St Nathy’s women’s senior football team are appealing for financial support for their All-Ireland intermediate quarter-final trip to London next week.

George Leech’s side overcame St Josephs of Leitrim in the Connacht intermediate club final last Saturday to set up a showdown with London side Parnells, who are the British senior champions.

The game will take place on either Saturday 26th or Sunday 27th of October -the choice must be made by St Nathy’s themselves after they determine the most cost-effective plan.

The club has estimated the trip will cost them close to €20,000.

It is the first time in 12 years a ladies side from Sligo has won the provincial intermediate club championship. Nathy’s themselves were the last club to do so in 2007.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the team with their costs and anyone who wishes to donate can do so here.
