Meeting sought with Dept. of Justice over plans for asylum-seeker accommodation in Leitrim



Locals from a town in Leitrim have sought a meeting with the Department of Justice over plans to accommodate 130 asylum seekers in their area.

It follows a public meeting in Ballinamore last night, which was attended by 150 residents.

Concerns were raised around the number of asylum seekers and the knock-on effect for the towns services.
