Leitrim based director of Quinn Industrial Holdings calls on police on both sides of border to take threats seriously

A Leitrim-based director of Quinn Industrial Holdings is calling on the police on both sides of the border to take continuing incitement to violence and hatred against the company and its employees seriously.

It follows an incident in which bales of silage owned by Tony Lunney and his brother were slashed on land owned by the Lunneys across the border from Cavan.

Mr Lunney, a member of Quinn Industrial Holdings management team, is a brother of Kevin Lunney, an executive of QIH who was abducted, tortured and beaten some weeks ago, suffering life-changing injuries.

Former Leitrim County Councillor John McCartin is a director of Quinn Industrial Holdings.

He has been telling Ocean FM News about the latest incident and what he feels must be done to stop the continuing attacks.
