St Nauls are Donegal intermediate football champions



St Naul’s lifted the Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure intermediate championship title on Sunday evening in Ballybofey after a 1-13 to 1-10 win against battling Cloughaneely.

It was hard luck on the Gaeltacht side who had played three tough championship matches in eight days in reaching this final.

They actually led as the game entered the closing stages, but St Naul’s finished strongly with Peadar Mogan and Daniel Brennan prominent in attack, to help steer Naul’s to victory by three points.
