St Nathy’s win Connacht club title

Sligo women’s senior football champions St Nathy’s lifted the Connacht club intermediate football title on Sunday when they beat a gallant St Joseph’s (Leitrim) team in Ballyhaunis by 1-13 to 1-8.

It’s the first time since 2007 that a Sligo club has won the provincial intermediate club championship. In fact – St Nathy’s were the last Sligo club to do it.

Player of the Match Denise McGrath spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Céira Meehan:

St Joseph’s manager Ray McBrien gave this post-match assessment:

St Nathysnow have to make the trip to the UK for their next game in the All Ireland series.
