Four water fountains, allowing people to refill water bottles, are to be built in Co. Sligo.
They will be located in Sligo Town, Rosses Point, Strandhill and Enniscrone.
A motion, raised by Independent Sligo Councillor Marie Casserly, last November was passed and now the refilling stations are due to be built in the coming months.
The council will also be applying for funding in 2020 to roll out more the stations around the county to be ready for the summer.
