Two bone marrow transplants, over 100 chemo sessions, and still staying positive – Valentina’s story



Valentina Macesanu, 32, who lives in Coolaney, has been battling leukemia for the past three years. During that time, she has had two bone marrow transplants, over 100 sessions of chemotherapy, and ended up in a coma, from which she was not expected to recover. But Valentina has dismissed the 1% survival rate chances given to her, and will model at next week’s EJ’s Sligo cancer fundraiser (full event details check out the BEAT IT facebook page)
