Calls are being made for works to be carried out on the path between Ballisodare and Collooney as soon as possible.
Recently, the route has been cleaned up along with chipped stones placed.
There are hopes that more will be done in the new year to make sure the path is safe for people walking, running or cycling.
Speaking to OceanFM, Michael Parkes part of the Local Action Group says it all comes down to peoples safety.
