Work has commenced in removing blockages along the Owenmore River.
The project has been funded by a recent allocation of 50,000 from the Minister of State for the Office of Public Works and Flood Relief Kevin Boxer Moran.
It’s expected that the current work which is being carried out on the river will ease the flooding problems which been a regular occurrence along the bank’s of this river and ultimately has led to damage to wildlife habitats as well as flooding some local farms.
