Parents of the 99 children that were attending the Manorhamilton Childcare Services centre had to make alternative arrangements for child care this morning after the facility closed on Friday last.
21 staff members have also been laid off as a result of the closure.
Sligo Leitrim Finanna Fáil TD Marc MacSharry has been working with the board of the Child care centre in recent times.
He is calling on Pobal to provide funding to ensure that the centre reopens as soon as possible once any legacy issues have been resolved.
