There are major concerns in the greater Manorhamilton area today over the future of the Childcare services which are situated in the Bee Park.
Ocean FM news understand that parents and staff received news today informing them that the facility will close for the foreseeable future later this evening.
There are over 20 people employed in the childcare centre and it caters for almost 100 children from many different parts of North Leitrim.
Local Councillor Sean McDermott says the news comes as a huge blow.
Former Senator Michael Comiskey says the closure of the centre will be a major inconvenience for parent s and grandparents of the e children affected.
He is calling for emergency funding to be provided to centre as soon as possible.
