McConalogue urges Government to secure urgent funding for farmers

The government are being urged to go back to the European Commission and secure additional funding for farmers that have suffered severe financial hardship during the beef talks crisis.

The calls have been made by Fianna Fáil spokesperson on agriculture and Donegal TD Charlie McConalogue.

Fianna Fáil tabled a private members motion in the Dail last night to highlight the crisis.

Speaking earlier to Ocean FM Deputy McConalogue says Farmers need additional funding after having to endure a period of time where they could not sell their Beef due to the disputes.
