With no public bus route covering servicing Carraroe it’s been claimed that the businesses and their staff in the business park are being discriminated against in an unnecessary fashion.
That’s according to local Fine Gael Councillor Thomas Walsh. Cllr Walsh is tabling a motion addressing the issue at today’s meeting of the Sligo Drumcliffe Municipal District.
Cllr Walsh says extending bus routes to Carraroe and introducing a park and ride initiative to Sligo Town would benefit Sligo and it would also be a positive measure in helping a promoting a cleaner environment.
