Quarter-final pairings finalised in Sligo senior championship

The make-up of the 2019 Belfry senior club football championship quarter-finals in Sligo is now complete following Sunday’s final round of group matches.

County senior captain Niall Murphy kicked the winning score late on for Coolera/Strandhill in their group 2 game against Drumcliffe/Rosses Point in a 0-13 to 1-9 – a result which gave Coolera the eighth and final quarter-final place at the expense of Eastern Harps.

Drumcliffe/Rosses Point had already qualified for the quarter-finals but defeat in this game means they now face champions Tourlestrane in the knockout stages. The holders kept opponents St Molaise Gaels scoreless in the second-half of their final group game as they ran out 4-18 to 0-2 winners.

Molaise will now play Eastern Harps in the relegation final.
