5G opposition message is getting through

The chairman of a group campaigning for more information on 5G communications technology says a discussion on the issue at this week’s meeting of Sligo County Council at least showed that someone was listening to those who have concerns.

There had been calls for the council to pass a motion opposing the introduction of 5G but councillors decided in the end to call for a ‘delay’ in introducing the technology.

It remains to be seen if local authority proposals and motions on 5G will eventually carry much weight but the chairperson of the Stop 5G Enniscrone committee, Michael Moyles, says it’s important people are given a voice.
