Sligo Rovers were beaten 2-0 by Dundalk in Monday night’s re-arranged SSE Airtricity League Premie Division game at the Showgrounds.
Goals from Dane Massey and the first half and Andy Boyle in the second gave Dundalk all three points and extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points once again.
Dundalk had not lost a league game since their last visit to the Showgrounds on April 12th.
Rovers will now regroup for Saturday night’s FAI Cup quarter-final against UCD at the Showgrounds. Kick-off 7:45pm. The match will be live in full on Ocean FM in association with EJ Menswear.
