Public urged not to remove ring-buyos



Safety chiefs are urging the public to report any damaged or stolen ring-buoys along Irish waterways.

 

The rings are used in emergencies, to pull people ashore who find themselves at risk of drowning.

 

Water Safety Ireland says lives are being put at risk.

 

The Blueway in Drumshanbo is a major tourist attraction destination, local Councillor Brendan Barry it’s vital that life boys are inspected on a regular basis.
