Bathing is no longer restricted in Bundoran after tests showed water quality has returned to normal.
In response to a query from Ocean FM News, Donegal County Council said that order to protect beach users and to safeguard confidence in the quality of bathing waters, the council’s environment staff regularly monitor bathing water quality.
The recent inclement weather contributed to a reduction in bathing water quality at the beach in Bundoran for a short period. This resulted in bathing being restricted yesterday morning.
However, the council says samples taken later yesterday have now confirmed that the bathing water has returned to its normal excellent quality — and bathing is no longer restricted.
