Group opposed to 5G masts feels public are not informed of the dangers

A spokesperson for a group opposed to the erection of 5G masts in Connaught says, while they don’t believe in scaremongering, people need to be informed of the potential dangers of the technology.

There are plans to erect 5G masts in several locations across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal leading to concern among members of the public.

Public meetings have been taking place across the region where people have been seeking information on the possible health implications of living near a 5G mast, with a further meeting planned for Sligo Town this evening.

Members of the Stop 5G Connaught and Leinster Group, Kris Zurea, who lives on the Sligo Leitrim border, says questions around the technology remain unanswered.
