Kilavoggy residents express concerns over proposed wind turbine development

Concerned local residents in the Kilavoggy area of north Leitrim are stepping up their campaign in opposition to a proposed wind turbine development on Corry Mountain.

The Proposed development by Coillte consists of turbines that when constructed will reach a height of 168 metres.

Adrienne Diamond is a spokesperson for a local resident group.

Speaking earlier to Ocean FM News, she outlined how their group are calling on County Councillors to oppose the construction of such a development until a full review has been carried out into the impact of the new turbines on the local communities.
