Public awareness talks on the possible health implications of 5G wireless transmitters are taking place across Sligo and Leitrim.

The first in a series of four meetings was held in Tubbercurry last night and discussed the possible health, privacy and environmental impacts of 5G.

The meetings are being organised by the Stop5g Connaught and Leinster group.

Three further meetings are being held in Collooney on Friday, August 16th, in Sligo Town on August 22nd and in Carrick-on-Shannon on August 21st .

Cllr Thomas Walsh who attended last night’s meeting in Tubbercurry, says at this point these meetings are a fact finding exercise.
