In what was one of the busiest weekends in Sligo, gardai arrested two people on suspicion of ‘pickpocket type’ theft offences.
After having been alerted to the thefts, gardai recovered eight phones and four purses in follow-up searches.
Two of the phones still remain to be claimed by their owners.
