Farmers in the Sligo/Leitrim border area whose land was destroyed by wildfires two years ago are to receive their full farm payments.
That’s according to Sligo Fine Gael Councillor Thomas Walsh, who said the farmers were being unfairly penalised over the fires, with fears their farm payments would be affected longterm.
But he says there’s good news this morning for those farmers.
