Sligo LGFA appeal for financial support ahead of All-Ireland semi-final

Sligo women’s gaelic football officials are appealing for financial support ahead of next Saturday’s All-Ireland intermediate football semi-final against Tipperary in Nowlan Park Kilkenny.

Team preparations for the game will cost in the region of €5,000 and Sligo LGFA doesn’t have the cash. So, it’s organising a fundraising raffle this week. Tickets are available from county board offiicers, clubs and the players.

Sligo LGFA Chairperson Keith Gilroy, Development Officer Ted Maloney and team captain Jacqui Mulligan joined Niall Delaney in studio on Monday’s North West Today:

Sligo LGFA have launched a fundraising draw this week to help fund the team’s preparations. Prizes include two tickets to the All-Ireland men’s football final with overnight accommodation – and a family ticket to the women’s All-Ireland finals at Croke Park in September.

Tickets are available from any senior player the county board executive and all clubs. Entry costs €5 per line. For more info, contact Keith Gilroy on 086-2247869.

Saturday’s All-Ireland intermediate football semi-final between Sligo and Tipperary will be live on Ocean FM Sport from 3pm in association with Bernie’s Beauty Salon, O’Connell Street, Sligo.
