Sligo company behind installation of new pitch at the Aviva



A Sligo company has installed the new pitch surface at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

SIS Pitches, which was founded by Sligo Man George Mullan, installed their patented hybrid surface over a 4 day period.

The first game due to be played on it is this coming Saturday, the 10th of August, when the Irish Rugby team take on on Italy in the Guinness Summer Series.

The pitch is the same that was used at 6 stadiums in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, these were also installed by SIS Pitches including Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow where the final took place.
