Met Eireann has updated their status yellow rainfall warning to include Donegal.
The notice – issued yesterday – included Sligo and Leitrim and was due to end at 6pm this evening.
This has now changed to include Donegal and has been extended to 9pm tonight.
Met Eireann is predicting heavy, thundery downpours this evening with a risk of localised flooding.
Gardaí have tweeted to ask motorists to slow down and take care on the roads.
