Two assaults were carried out in Co. Donegal recently.

Gardaí say that there was a large crowd gathered at both assaults and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Yesterday, Monday, as a shop owner was opening their business along College Street in Bundoran, a man approached him and an argument took place.

A sum of money was stolen from the shopkeeper with the suspect being described as around 6ft5 and of heavy build.

Gardaí are asking people staying in holiday homes to be vigilant this time of year following a robbery.

On July 30th, a house was broken into between 2pm and 7pm.

The front door was forced open and a number of items were taken.
