Met Eireann have issued a status yellow weather warning for the Sligo and Leitrim
They warn that there is a high risk of heavy or prolonged rain with the risk of thundery downpours.
The warning is in effect until 6pm Tuesday evening.
The yellow warning is in effect across Connacht with Met Eireann saying there could be accumulations of 25 to 40 mm of rainfall over the period.
