Disability campaigner claims wheelchair users are forgotten about on trains.

A disability campaigner from Ballyshannon says wheelchair users are being forgotten about on trains.

She says wheelchair users, people with mobility issues and buggies cannot access dart stations because of lifts not working and people with disabilities in general cannot use unmanned stations.

Vicky Matthew – who is a member of the Irish Rail Disability User Committee – experienced this herself recently.

She says she was forgotten about twice while on a trip from Sligo to Dublin.
