Rory Gallagher steps down as Fermanagh manager



Rory Gallagher has confirmed to Ocean FM Sport that he has stepped down as manager of Fermanagh senior footballers after two years in the role.

He informed the Fermanagh county board of his decision on Monday morning.

Gallagher, a native of the Erne County, guided the senior footballers to an Ulster final in 2018, which they lost to Donegal and promotion to Division 2 football.

They narrowly missed out on promotion to Division 1 in 2019, but were beaten by Doengal in the Ulster championship, and lost to Monaghan in the qualiifiers.

Gallagher also part of the Killybegs senior management team in Donegal. They are currently joint-top of Division 2 in the all-county league.

He spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Ciaran Cannon on Sunday following Killybegs 0-15 to 0-11 win against Four Masters:
