Concerns have been raised locally over the delay in developing the ‘Burton Street Link in Sligo.
The propsed T2 to T12 road will link the Mail Coach Road/Connolly Street junction with the one at Burton Street/Pearse Road.
Independent Councillor Declan Bree says the delay is causing difficulties for residents in the area.
and added that it is due to Sligo County Council not yet purchasing a piece of land beside Our Lady of Mercy Primary School, which is necessary to complete the suggested route.
It’s understood that the Council is finalising plans for the compulsory purchase of the land.
