Preliminary plans have been drawn up for a pedestrian crossing in Ballisodare.
Following a motion put forward last October by Sligo Sinn Fein Councillor, Tomas Healy, the council has submitted plans to Transport Infrastructure Ireland on a proposed location for the crossing.
He says many residents would like to see it built around the village centre, giving easy access to most facilities.
Cllr Healy explains the process.
