Disruption to mental health services across the north west this evening



There’s concern disruption to mental health services across the north west this evening could make some patients’ conditions worse.

Around 6 thousand psychiatric nurses will be refusing do to any overtime in a dispute over staff shortages.

Hundreds of appointments are expected to be cancelled, mainly in community-based facilities.

Michele Kerrigan is CEO of GROW, which runs mental health support groups across the country.

She says those cancellations will add to the stress of people needing help:
