Major progress reported on Sligo water plants

A new Water Treatment plant has been switched on which will cater for households in the grange area of North Sligo.

Flows were tuned in at the end of June and the old plant is currently being decommissioned.

There are also positive updates on progress on other water treatment plants in Ballinafad, Tubbercurry and Strandhill which are due to begin flow testing in September, October and November of this year.

Independent Councillor Marie Casserly says it’s welcome news for consumers throughout the County.
