Safety measures needed urgently at Drumhaver Bridge according to County Councillor

Leitrim County Council and Waterways Ireland will today be asked to find a solution to the crossing at Drumhaver Bridge, which links the Blue way from Drumshanbo towards Leitrim Village.

Large numbers of pedestrians and cyclists are using this route on a daily basis, and with the tourism season now in full swing, there are concerns locally that a serious accident could occur at the location due to the lack of speed ramps.

Independent Councillor, Gerry Dolan will raise the issue at today’s Ballinamore municipal district of Leitrim County Council.

Speaking earlier to Ocean FM news, Councillor Dolan says safety measures need to implemented immediately.
