Local Councillor describes closure of respite service as ‘incompetent’

The closure of a respite service in the region has been described as ‘incompetent’ by a local councillor.

Sinn Feinn Cllr, Thomas Healy is making the comments after the Bayview Respite House in Tullghan, Co. Leitrim was recently closed, temporarily, due to non compliance with fire regulations.

He says the lack of communication from the HSE is a major issue as he says not all families were notified it had even reopened in the first place, and now it has closed again.

Cllr. Healy says questions need to be answered.
