There is still no sign of progress when it comes to upgrading and the improving a stretch of road on the R280 between Kinlough and Bundoran at an area known locally as Lennox’s Bridge.
Manorhamilton Municipal District councillors were told at this week’s monthly meeting that currently there is no funding available for any work to take place.
The council did confirm that a further application for funding will be submitted again for funding in 2020.
Local Fianna Fáil Councillor Justin Warnock says the stretch of road in question requires an immediate upgrade with a large of volume travelling the route on a daily basis.
