New property register bill to benefit rural residents

The recent valuable property register bill introduced into the Dáil by Sinn Fein will be of particular relevance to those living in rural Ireland.

The Party’s spokesperson for Justice and equality, Sligo Leitrim TD Martin Kenny says the bill which will establish a national property register will help deter the handling of stolen goods and will also help ensure that people will be reunited with their recovered goods.

Speaking earlier to Ocean FM Deputy Kenny says a national register is required that Gardai can access to help return property to its rightful owners.
