The Committee on Rural and Community Development is to launch a report on rural transport policy during a two day visit to Leitrim on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
The report, Regional and Rural Transport Policy, makes a series of recommendations to improve transport for people living outside urban areas.
It will be launched at Leitrim Technology Enterprise Centre, The Hive, Carrick-on-Shannon on Wednesday at 2pm.
The delegation of TD’s and Senators will visit sites in Carrick-on-Shannon and Drumshanbo to look at remote working opportunities, local enterprises and cross border support.
