Overcrowded train did not breach safety standards, insists Iarnrod Eireann

Iarnrod Eireann have rejected claims by passengers that health and safety standards were breached on last Sunday’s lunchtime train from Dublin to Sligo, which was severely overcrowded. After a flood of complaints, company spokesperson, Barry Kenny, said there was simply no extra carriages available on what was an extremely busy weekend, and he’s apologised to all those passengers affected
