Donegal singer Daniel O’Donnell says volunteers have a vital role to play in helping older people lead independent lives.
Elder care charity Alone is merging with community group Good Morning Donegal to bring more services to people in the county.
The singer says his late mother was deeply grateful for the support of the group.
