Ambulance staff from north west among those at Leinster House protest today

Members of the National Ambulance Service Representative Association and the Psychiatric Nurses Association from the north west will be among protesters outside Leinster House today.

It’s the latest move in an ongoing campaign by the ambulance personnel who want to be represented by the Psychiatric Nurses Association as the union of their choice.

The National Ambulance Service Representative Association is a branch of the Psychiatric Nurses Association.

In addition, the PNA has confirmed that more than 500 of their ambulance branch members (including paramedics, advanced paramedics and emergency medical technicians) will hold a further 24-hour national strike from 7 a.m. on Friday 19th July to 7 a.m. on Saturday 20th July.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Tony Gregg, NASRA branch secretary, says it’s a fundamental right of workers to choose who they want to represent them.
