Donegal Animal Rehabilitation Centre cared for 233 animals in the last year

The Donegal Animal Rehabilitation Centre cared for 233 animals in the last year.

Over the past 12 months the centre has provided help for 67 dogs, 144 cats and 6 ponies and donkey.

The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals centre in Donegal is celebrating its first anniversary this week.

The majority of the animals rescued were victims of neglect and abuse and others were injured and in need of veterinary care.

Donegal ISPCA Senior Inspector Kevin McGinley says he expects this year to be even busier than the last.
