The Minister for Health says he is eager that a cardiology post at Sligo University Hospital be advertised as quickly as possible.
The issue was raised in the Dail yesterday when Sligo/Leitrim TD Eamon Scanlon asked the health minister and his department to speed up the recruitment process for cardiology roles at the hospital, where one cardiologist is retiring.
Health Minister Simon Harris said this is an issue that’s been raised with him on a number of occasions, adding that he would talk to the HSE director general about it when he meets him this week.
