Donegal Politicians at odds over Fiánna Fáils commitment to road upgrades

The Minister for education and skills,  Joe  McHugh says Fianna Fáil’s climate and environmental policy threatens major road projects like the A5 and other major road upgrades in the north west.

He has hit out after comments by Deputy Timmy Dooley in relation to prioritising Government spending away from the national roads programme.

Speaking to Ocean FM Minister McHugh claims that Fianna Fáil are looking at taking a swipe at funding for key roads projects.

However, Donegal Fianna Fail TD Charlie McConalogue has also accused the government of trying to distract attention from what he calls its failure to articulate any vision for the future of public transport.
