Governments climate plan required clarity



Zero carbon emissions by 2050 is one of the main targets in the Government’s new Climate Action Plan.

 

The cross departmental plan is was revealed yesterday by Minister for the Environment Richard Bruton.

Home retrofitting and car exclusion zones will form part of it, with the carbon tax quadrupling between now and 2030.

 

Blaithin Gallagher contested the recent Leitrim Council elections on behalf of the green party.

 

She says the new climate action plan required clarity and also needed set times targets for objectives to be achieved.
