Changes on the way for online shopping & banking

We are being reminded that changes are on the way to online shopping and banking.

New EU laws will see an extra security step introduced before people can buy something or log in to their accounts.

The aim of the regulations, which come into effect in September, is to reduce fraud and make online payments more secure.

The Banking and Payments Federation has launched a new awareness campaign over the changes.

Head of Payment Schemes, Jill Murphy, says subscriptions like Netflix aren’t affected:

The one hour lunch break is no more – with the majority of workers taking just 20-40 minutes.

That’s according to new research carried out as part of ‘How Ireland Works’ series, which shows 1 in 6 people surveyed don’t take a lunch break.

The research also found that 7 in 10 work communications take place outside of office hours.

However, the majority of workers say they are content in their role with 83 percent saying they are very or somewhat happy, but 43 percent say they would like to change job.

That’s one of the findings revealed as part of  ‘How Ireland Works’ series.
