McHugh’s sideline score maintains Kilcar’s unbeaten record

Kilcar senior gaelic footballers made it nine wins out of nine in the Brian McCormick SFL Division 1 in Donegal on Sunday thanks to an audiacious point from Mark McHugh in added time, which gave the Towney men a 0-15 to 1-11 win against St Michael’s.

In difficult weather conditions, McHugh landed a sideline kick straight over the bar to give Kilcar a one-point win over opponents whom they had beaten by the same scoreline the previous week in the corresponding league game in Dunfanaghy.

Mark McHugh spoke with Ocean FM sport’s Paddy McGill after the game:

Kilcar top Division 1 with 18 points from their nine matches, two points ahead of Naomh Conaill who beat bottom-of-the-table McCumhaills on Sunday by 2-13 to 1-9.
