Work due to commence on a busy junction in Sligo town

Work is due to commence on a busy junction in Sligo town at the end of this month.

Contracts have been awarded to Source Civil Ltd and Electric Skyline for works to upgrade the junction at Cranmore Road and Devins Drive, Sligo.

It’s expected the works will take around 15 weeks to commence and its hoped they will be completed by October.

The works are part of the larger plan to improve the traffic system in the Cranmore area.

Michael McGinty Senior Executive Architect with Sligo County Council says works will improve safety and provide an additional cycle lane.
