Donegal cafe owner calls for legislation on employee tips



Low paid workers in the hospitality industry need legislative protection to ensure they’re getting the tips they’ve earned according to a Donegal café owner.

It comes as the Protection of Employee Tips Bill is due before the final stages of the Seanad today.

There are concerns plans by the Government to bring forward their own laws on tipping don’t go far enough and are merely a face saving exercise.
